No — the PDF is read entirely in your browser using PDF.js. Nothing is sent to any server. There is no storage of any kind.
PDFs can contain: title, author, subject, keywords, the application that created it (Creator), the PDF engine used (Producer), creation date, last modified date, and the PDF specification version (e.g. 1.7, 2.0).
Not all PDFs include author metadata. It depends on how the PDF was created. A Word document saved as PDF usually includes the author. A PDF created from a web page or print driver may not.
