How do I calculate a percentage?

To find X% of Y: multiply Y by X and divide by 100. Example: 15% of 200 = 200 × 15 / 100 = 30.

What is percentage change?

Percentage change = ((New Value − Old Value) / Old Value) × 100. A positive result is an increase; negative is a decrease.

What is the difference between percentage change and percentage difference?

Percentage change compares a new value to an old value (directional). Percentage difference compares two values without a direction: |V1 − V2| / ((V1 + V2) / 2) × 100.
